With all 162 games played (okay 163 if you're a Rays or a Ranger) it's the knockout stages of the American baseball year. The At Bat application, which brings you news, scores, and video of all the games, picks up an update to allow for the new format of games that will take place during October.
As well as some tweaks to the UI, the update works with the limited post-season subscription services, and a number of other features:
- News Section with filters for all 30 clubs and postseason series
- Complete Postseason information, viewable by series with scoreboards and series status.
- Postseason Video Section
- In-progress video highlights
- Lock Screen featuring scores and news from your favorite team
There's nothing major added to the code, so Live Tile support is still weak, and there are far too many instances where the app defaults to launching the browser to display content, but this is an in-season trade. Hopefully we'll see an improved app for spring training and the 2014 season.
MLB's At Bat 13 is currently a free download, check it out via the AAWP App Directory.
