Sendtiment Cards makes sending graphical greetings very easy

Published by at

Launched this week, Sendtiment (and yes, the 'd' is silent!) allows you to email, text, Facebook, Tweet (etc.) personalized cards, notes, invitations and announcements from your Windows Phone. With over 200 cards thoughtfully designed in-house for Sendtiment, "it is easy to discover new cards and find one that fits your personality and sense of style". See below for a walk through.

The main features of Sendtiment Cards are:

  • Attractive, clean, professional user interface inspired by the Windows Phone "metro" design to help you find that perfect "Sendtiment"
  • Over 200 cards with unique, modern designs for all occasions - thank you notes, greeting cards, birthday cards, invitations etc.
  • Cards can be personalized with your own message resulting in thousands of possibilities
  • Photo-friendly designs, giving you the ability to grab photos from your photo albums. You can also take pictures in-app to create that perfect "wish you were there" memory
  • Seamless integration with your device's built-in sharing capabilities. Share via text, email, NFC, Blue-tooth or your favorite social networks.
Sendtiment is currently £1.50 in the Windows Phone Store. A free, ad-supported version is planned too.

We've seen quite a few 'annotate a photo or weather scene and send' applications, but having these pre-designed electronic cards is a nice idea and will help many people find a quick and easy way to convey - yes - a sentiment from their Windows Phone.

Here's a brief walkthrough of Sendtiment Cards:

The wizard-like approach is a good one. Pick your reason for the greeting and then pick from one of the designs. It's fair to say that the designs, which are stored locally (though not that quick to load), are somewhat basic in nature, but hopefully a future version can include more ambitious graphics.

Pick a card then, add your custom salutation, and send it off, typically via email or Messaging, to the other party....

Here I've sent it as a MMS to my wife, though in my experience MMS is still unreliable, 20 years after the technology debuted! More reliable, of course, is humble email. (Right) Picking from the 'Say something funny' card selection....

Some cards include a camera icon, which is your cue to snap a photo or pick from your Photos Camera roll, in this case, a card from our guinea pig (aww, how cute!!)...

The custom photo feature won't be available in the free ad-supported version of the app (when it arrives), so if (like me) you're likely to send photo-centric cards then just plump for the full version now. Again, Sendtiment is currently £1.50 in the Store
