Nokia Photo Transfer updated with OSX Mavericks support

Published by at

Nokia's Mac OSX utility, Photo Transfer, has picked up a small update for Mac users to allow the app to run on the latest version of OSX, Mavericks. This will allow those on the cutting edge of the Mac scene to continue to use this focussed tool to move their photos and videos between their handset and their desk bound computer.

As well as copying the standard images from your handset, the application also allows you to download the files with additional data and context from SmartShoot, Cinemagraph, Smart Camera and Pro Camera. This includes taking both the high resolution image and the 'pureview' processed image from the Lumia 1020, for example.

The key features of the app include:

  • Connect your Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 with your Mac OS computer, and transfer photos and videos between the two
  • Transfer normal photos and videos, as well as special types of photos and videos taken with SmartShoot, Cinemagraph, Nokia Smart Camera, or Nokia Pro Camera
  • Supported file formats: .jpg, .npo, .nar, and .mp4
