It shouldn't be too much of a surprise to see that the handset comes in yellow, red, blue and black, but one nice touch here is that the three capacitive Windows Phone buttons at the base of the screen are set up to match the colour of your colour them in Windows Phone - go for a yellow look on your handset and this will be echoed in the buttons.
The handset is going to be fighting in a competitive space, both compared to Windows Phone but also in the general smartphone market. The low-to-mid range handset market, with aggressive subsidies, marketing budgets, and reliance on in-store promotions, is not for the faint of heart, but if you can crack it, then you can go on to have some really good sales.
Keep an eye on the Russian sales of this handset, that's a region where Huawei's low-cost approach could be a commercial advantage. I'm assuming that the Netherlands release is going to have some marketing power behind it from one of the networks.
There are some more details via the Official Windows Phone blog, and we'll be keeping an eye on the W2 as it goes on sale.
