Xbox Music lines up free Eminem album for US listeners

Published by at

Our American based readers might want to take a look at a promotional offer over on the Xbox Music Store, which is offering the latest Eminem album ('The Marshall Mathers LP2') as a free download, and the rest of Eminem's albums at 99 cents per album.

From the offer page:

As we head into the holidays, we wanted to show our appreciation by giving you an early present. For a limited time, you can download the latest album from Grammy Award winning artist, Eminem, FREE from the Xbox Music application on Windows 8 and Windows Phone. You can also take advantage of $0.99 albums to fill in the rest of your Eminem collection, including all 7 of his previous chart topping hits. Don’t have Windows 8 or Windows Phone? No problem. You can stream the entire Eminem catalog free from your favorite web browser at music.xbox.com. Enjoy. And, thanks.

Unfortunately the offer is only available to US customers. I suspect this is more down to the regional nature of music releases and the division of promotional duties than some nefarious plot to deny European fans this critically acclaimed album - naturally it is still available to buy.

You can get your copy, free or otherwise, from the Xbox Music Store.
