Catch is not going to be a long-term addition to your gaming canon. The levels are over quickly, and you can rattle through them in short order, but that actually gives the game a good pace, and the familiar rush of enjoyment that playing a well put together game can give.
It's also helped by one simple addition to the top down viewpoint on the gaming grid... bridges. Adding in the ability to cross two coloured lines without them actually touching, even with the restrictions of having to follow the direction of the bridge, add just enough complexity to lift Catch above other titles in the connecting dots genre.
Here are the key features from the directory listing:
- Catch has 160 levels. Play for free to the 40 first levels. Then, Play more levels by buying two packs of levels: Master Pack that contains 60 hard levels, and Elite Pack that contains 60 hardest levels.
- Catch game has a colorblind mode.
- Tile of the game indicate your progress. The game ask you to pin it to start screen at first launch.
The upgrade to unlock the levels is made by an in-app purchase (using the Windows Phone Store payment mechanism), as opposed to a regular app purchase in the App Store, which might be a touch unsettling for some users. It costs 79p / 99c.
You can download Catch right now, via the AAWP App Directory.
