6snap updates text editing capabilities in latest update

Published by at

Continuing the steady stream of updates to his social media clients, Rudy Huyn's 6snap advances mercilessly to version 2.2, adding in more text editing option and some layout issues.

6snap is a third-party client for SnapChat, an image-based messaging service where the messages are available to view for a very short time on the receiver's handset before 'self-destructing' from the handset and from the SnapChat server.

While official clients for iOS and Android are available, Windows Phone is lacking in this area, so Huyn's client is a welcome download for users of the service. And as we've seen with his Instagram client 6tag, there's every chance that if there was a SnapChat client, I'd probably still favour using 6snap.

The major change-log items for v2.2 are as follows:

  • Draw on videos!
  • Add multi-line texts on videos
  • Support add text on landscape videos
  • Remove "white space" when you click on friend
  • Remove ads just after payment, no need to restart the app
  • Fix problem with videos with text on stories (and when sent to friends+story)

6snap is a free download from the Windows Store, and you can find it via our App Directory.
