It does seem as if the age of intelligent imaging software is upon us. Well, almost up on us - for the admirably obviously titled 'Pretend been there' gets most of the way to its aim but is ultimately too much work for anything other than casual use. The idea is to clip yourself out of one photo and place yourself in another. As a reluctant traveller myself, do I would get away with it? Not really, but it's fun anyway.
The application can help you quickly replace the photo background.
Use photoshop to complete complex tasks on the computer, on the phone a few simple steps can be completed.
Applications built a lot of world-famous attractions background.
You can also choose a custom image as a background.
Save picture as the original image size.
I tried it all out, of course:
Finding a suitable 'selfie' image to start with is hard - almost every image has some bleed into a background region and it's very hard to paint an outline (if needed) on manually because you have to work at this zoom level.
Aha - this one seems to work quite well; (right) next, pick a backdrop from the supplied selection or load in your own image of choice....
Pinch to zoom as needed and drag around until you're happy - and then save. Easy, eh!?
Great idea though - it's almost worth going and shooting more shots in my anorak and sunglasses against a white background, ready to superimpose the perfectly-formed cutouts against all the places I'd love to travel to.... but don't have the time, money or energy!
