Tentacles: Enter the Mind squishes onto Xbox and Windows Phone

Published by at

Think power-drilling into living skulls, think tap and stretch and swing and collect: plus it's another Xbox game title and it's from Microsoft, so notable in itself. Tentacles: Enter the Mind is freemium, free to download but with currency to collect and then buy powerups and progress faster, you know the drill (pun intended!)....

Enter the mindFrom the game's original pitch, on Windows 8:

The good old Dr. Phluff has returned, but his mental health is not what it used to be. The cute ideas he so dearly adores are taking over his mind, but fear not. His subconscious has a plan. You are invited into the mind of the mad professor for an all-you-can-eat eyeball buffet. Explore the many layers of Dr. Phluff’s mind from Libido to Super-Ego and beyond.

Tentacles: Enter the Mind is a completely new take on the Tentacles universe and mechanic from the award winning Tentacles: Enter the Dolphin. Set in a beautiful 3D world, bizarre creatures hide behind every twisted corner of Phluff’s mind. Eat their eyes, acquire new powers and kill the cute!

From the Store description:

Play as the adorable and fantastical creature, Lemmy, and tap or click your way through the layers of Dr. Phluff’s outrageously bizarre mind. Dispatch enemies, collect eyes and secret eggs, gain powers and abilities, and play against your friends. And when you get to the end: survive as long as you can. The Doctor has gone mad from the creatures and only you and Lemmy can save him!

Features Xbox Leaderboards, Achievements, and Highscore Play across multiple devices with cloud save

The promo video shows off what the game's all about, thankfully:

You can grab your copy of Tentacles: Enter the Mind here in the Store. This particular title is interesting as it's coming to Windows Phone not from another mobile platform but from Windows itself, i.e. on the desktop/tablet, running Windows 8. True, the original Tentacles franchise has been elsewhere in the mobile world, but Enter the Mind is new. And pretty polished, as you'd expect from am officiall endorsed Microsoft title.
