So today is the official launch of Windows 10 for the world - at least on desktops/laptops/tablets. Windows Phone/Mobile users will have to wait another month or two, of course. Clever money says Windows 10 Mobile handsets announced in September, available in October and OTA updates to existing handsets in November.

But it's still worth celebrating the availability of this next generation of Windows across the world, not least because the update is completely free for most home users (from Windows 7 onwards). And if you're in the mood for some punchy video promos then Microsoft has a bunch (appropriately, 10) embedded below, to help bang home the message about what's great about '10'. Much of which will be true for Mobile as well, of course!

Good stuff all round, and I can vouch for Windows 10 on the desktop, having been using the Insiders Preview happily for the last 3 months.
