Power BI and staying on top of enterprise data

Published by at

If, like me, you've never heard of 'Power BI' before, that's because you're not immersed in enterprise and big data - if you do need to analyse bug business data on the move though, then there's now a universal application working on Windows 10 Mobile and the desktop/laptop variant too. With your IT department's help, no doubt, and hopefully through a VPN, Power BI lets you hook into corporate data and pull out charts and insights for that next board meeting. Cough.

From the Store description:

Easily view and interact with your business data with the Microsoft Power BI app for Windows. Get live access to your dashboards, reports, and KPI monitors while on the go, all from your Windows 10 phone or tablet. Connect to your data, discover insights, and share information with your team – it’s all at your fingertips!

With the Power BI app for Windows you can:

• Stay up-to-date on critical business information and explore insights as they happen.

• Present your data in new visual ways with interactive charts, maps, and graphs.

• Empower the rest of your team to stay informed with shared dashboard invites.

• Send tile snapshots via email with just a few taps.

You can grab this here in the Store if your company needs this. 99% of readers won't have any interest in this, but that last 1% may just put the right word in for Windows 10 into the relevant IT department, so....(!)
