Inside the Windows Insider Program

One of the more interesting talks from Build 2016 (for us) was that by Gabe Aul and Bill Karagounis from the Insiders Programme, sharing a LOT about the way the programme works, what they do with the feedback given and how they monitor how Insiders are doing in terms of installs and successes/failures. It's a long video, but worth a weekend watch if you like knowing how the programme is put together.

Here's the video anyway, make sure you're sat comfortably, with a beverage and 45 minutes to spare, and raise the quality and playback size if needed from the Settings control:

Microsoft gets a lot of flak for builds which contain issues, but the openness of the Insiders Programme should, eventually, produce an OS for both desktop and mobile that's directly influenced by what users want to see. Which makes an interesting contrast from Apple's 'here's what we're giving you' approach. I'm not commenting here on which is better, they each have pros and cons!
