AAWP Universal app gets new directory features

Published by at

There has been another update to AAWP's own (ahem) much praised UWP application for Windows 10 Mobile. V1.4.1 adds new directories, plus a pop-up for app updates, and much more. Thanks (a million) as always to Joe Blumenow, the developer.

Here's the changelog for 1.4.1 (since v1.4.0):

  • Added new photo/media app directory.
  • Added auto-suggest to directory filtering.
  • Added new update pop-up to let you know when the app has been updated.
  • Improved stability of the directories - these were a cause of a lot crashes, so should be better now.
  • General bug fixes and some performance improvements.

And here, as ever, are some screens of the new version in action:

The new pop-up after an app update! (right) the 'Directories' section on the hamburger navigation menu, now including the split into 'General' and 'Media'...

Pinch on the directory list to collapse to all sub-headings (this also works on the main story views too) - tips like this are all in the Help within the AAWP Universal application!

You can grab or update 'AAWP Universal' from the Store here, it's a free download. Why not add your own rating of 'AAWP Universal' (in the Store) and leave a text review? It all helps discoverability!

Comments welcome for Joe, he'll read and take it all in, we promise!

PS. By the way, aside from Rafe being in the podcasts, virtually all the content for AAWP is now being written by me, as you've probably gathered. I/we'd love to have some more guest articles in 2017, so do please get in touch if there's a topic, device or application that you feel strongly about. You can reach me at slitchfield@gmail.com .
