Windows 10 Mobile 'production' advances to build 15063.297

Now that the Creators Update (Redstone 2) is the 'production' branch of Windows 10 Mobile, we can see 'Patch Tuesday' fix round-ups for it, with the official list for the 'May 2017' update' quoted below. There's nothing much to see and most items are for the desktop only, but it's still significant to see this arriving simultaneously for 'mobile', more or less in lock step. Plus the Release Preview (RP) ring also gets this update, with the build number jumping up accordingly. We should still expect a new RP build in a few weeks though.

The official fix list is:

  • Addressed issue with Surface Hub devices waking from sleep approximately every four minutes after the first two hours.
  • Addressed issue where autochk.exe can randomly skip drive checks and not fix corruptions, which may lead to data loss.
  • Addressed an issue where Microsoft Edge users in networking environments that do not fully support the TCP Fast Open standard may have problems connecting to some websites. Users can re-enable TCP Fast Open in about:flags.
  • Addressed issues with Arc Touch mouse Bluetooth connectivity.
  • Security updates to Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows SMB Server, Windows COM, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows kernel, Windows Server, and the .NET Framework.

In today's malware-strewn and fraudulent times, we should never disregard security fixes though, so update today in all affected mobiles, just in case!
