A game for Windows Phone 8.1 that now seems to be a full UWP app for all Windows 10 devices, Backgammon Deluxe is a quick way to get a backgammon fix, albeit configured the 'wrong' way round (at least, for the way I was taught to play!) Worth a look though.

There's a good tutorial that leads you through how to play the game, though I was a bit put off by the use of this 'alternate' piece direction (it's allowed, though rarer!)

Four boards and various piece colours make for easy customisation...

Add in four difficulty levels and various doubling options... Pity there's no option to change the direction of play to be the more traditional way...

Backgammon Deluxe UWP in action, it's fast, intuitive, and with nice sound effects. It's... backgammon. Going clockwise with white. Oh well, maybe this is the way your head works too?
