MetroTube updated with improved HD video support

Published by at

Lazywormapp's popular YouTube client, MetroTube, has picked up a small update. In v3.4, the HD video bug picked up by many users has been fixed, along with a new 'don't flip' live tile option. The developers have also taken the chance to do a number of small tweaks and bug fixes as well.

From our original review:

This is how I know MetroTube actually works. I want to keep bouncing around YouTube, and I don't feel like MetroTube is trying to stop me. It's guiding me, it's showing me what's next and what's best, and like most things in the Metro interface, I just want to play around, slide, swipe, and touch things... there's no technical reason why Microsoft shouldn't just roll up to Lazyworm's lawn with twenty seven bags marked "$$$" and get this into Windows Phone.

MetroTube recently passed 100,000 downloads through the Windows Store, an impressive number given the chequered past of the application, which included a significant period where it was not available in the store due to issues around access to YouTube.

Still, it's back, it's beloved, and it's just a little bit better with this update, which you can pick up from the AAWP App Directory.
