The main problem is, we’re not the kind of user who likes to walk about phone in hand – if it’s not being used, it goes in the pocket. So, it would be fair to say we’ve been having a bit of a struggle with the overall size of the Nokia Lumia 920. Essentially, it’s a change of usage, from slipping your phone into your jeans pocket to having it in a jacket pocket. It’s one of the things we’ll be testing out over the next few weeks...
The size of the Lumia 920 is certainly something that is being mentioned in many of the reviews, but that might be a facet of journalists able to draw continued direct comparisons with our handsets - something the average consumer will not be able to do outside of the retail environment. From our review:
Make no mistake, pick up the Lumia 920 and then one of its competitors, in a direct comparison, and you'll notice an obvious weight difference. However, the majority of people do not have ready access to a multitude of smartphones to carry out this test. The observant may notice a difference in the shop, but it's hard to see this perception carrying through in day to day usage. After all, how often do you think about how much your current phone weighs?
All of Browne's thoughts on the Lumia 920 can be found on the NokNok website, and we look forward to seeing what he makes of the device after continued use.
