Nokia Lumia 928 advert appears in Vanity Fair magazine

Published by at

Engadget reports that there is an advert for the Nokia Lumia 928 in the latest issue of the US edition of Vanity Fair magazine. The advert has a tag line of "capture the highlights" and mentions Nokia's PureView technology, Carl Zeiss optics, and optical image stabilisation. The magazine advert, like the billboard advert for the Lumia 928 that was spotted in Oakland last week, includes both Verizon and Windows Phone branding.

The URL on the advert (nokia.com/Lumia928) leads to a page on Nokia US's website, with the same picture of the device and tag line, together with an invitation to "stay tuned for updates about the newest Nokia". Nokia's May 14th London event is the most likely venue for the formal announcement of the Nokia Lumia 928, with a similar global variant also likely to make an appearance.

The full copy of the advert reads:

Capture the highlights.

Even in low light. Nokia exclusive PureView technologies: Optical Image Stabalisation and high-end Carl Zeoss optics let you capture and share amazing blur-free photos and videos, even in low light conditions.

With a page on Nokia's US site and various official adverts coming to light there's now no doubt the Nokia Lumia 928 is on the way, even if it has yet to be officially announced. There are plenty of questions still to answered and facts to be confirmed though, from exact specifications, to price point and availability. We should get all the answers in a week's time, but in the meantime there's still plenty of room for speculation.

Incidentally, the slightly unorthodox way the Lumia 920 is being unveiled may raise a few eye brows, but if it helps fend off the impact of any leaks, and media attention for the formal event in maintained, then it might be something we see more of in the future.
