Nokia has released minor updates for its HERE Maps and HERE Drive apps. The updates (versions 3.4.437 and 3.0.4087 respectively) are part of Nokia's commitment to deliver regular updates for its apps, so as the deliver bug fixes and stability improvements to end users as soon as possible.

The latest updates follow on from a more significant set of updates a month ago, which added the traffic overview and My Commute features to the HERE Drive app, and the ability to pause the LiveSight (augmented reality) view to the HERE Maps app. 

HERE Maps

In addition to the bug fixes and stability improvements HERE Maps also gets an unspecified "better positioning" note in its change log, likely a reference to the way to app gets a location position from a combination of GPS sensor, CellID positioning, and WiFi positioning.

HERE Maps is available for free to all Windows Phone devices (not just Nokia ones).

HERE Drive

HERE Drive is now available to almost all Windows Phone devices (the exceptions being non_Nokia devices in markets where Nokia has no vehicle navigation coverage).

All Lumia devices get HERE Drive+ (global navigation license) or HERE Drive (regional navigation license) for free. In some markets non-Nokia devices get HERE Drive for free, but in others it is a paid app. HERE Drive can be upgraded to HERE Drive+ via an in-app purchase (functionality is identical, its just a license for navigation).
