Stunningly immersive panoramas from the Nokia 808 and Lumia 1020

Aided by both full resolution photos taken in his own Symbian and Windows Phone application, and clever stitching and presenting software, developer Harald Meyer has put up a couple of stunningly immersive panoramas of the Einödhöle caves, shot on the Nokia 808 and Lumia 1020. Click on the panorama thumbnails below in a desktop-class browser and prepare to be amazed. The clarity and detail captured by both smartphone cameras is astonishing.

I’ve written about his sensational panoramas here already, and I even posted an interview with Harald earlier this year. Recently, he sent me two panoramas he realized inside these caves.

I wouldn’t know how to embed these panoramas, and it’s better it you look at them fullscreen anyway – not just from left to right, but also from the bottom to the top: you’ll find yourself inside, and you can even zoom in!

The top panorama is on the Lumia 1020, the bottom one on the 808 PureView, by the way. Impressive, eh?

Once full-screen in your browser, don't forget to try looking both up and down, as well as zooming in and out. And, again, remembering that these were shot on a phone.

Harald's CameraPro for Symbian is here, and for Windows Phone is here, along with Pano Assistant, by the way.
