Another month, another update to the Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview, this time to v8.10.12393.890. It's unclear exactly what's changed but we'd hope it's just bug fixes this late in 8.1's development, with the Lumia 630 already shipping and with the 930 imminent. Over the air rollout of (for example) Lumia Cyan is further off, i.e. weeks, if not a month or two, but you'd have to hope that 8.1 is now pretty stable and complete.
If your phone is already running the Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview then go to Settings/Phone update and tap 'check for updates' - you should be offered the new release and, as usual, it takes a while to install - in this case, about ten minutes.
Whether it's general instability or the persistent system volume bug or increased future proofing under the hood, at this stage any update is welcome, so go right ahead - and please do comment if you spot something new or significant.
