Project Gryphon is an ambitious goal to catalogue, analyze, and predict grocery store item prices in regions across the world. From the developer: "We want to democratize this data. We want to make it available for all people across all platforms. We want to empower others, whether they are doing research or if they simply want to save a few dollars in every shopping trip. Project Gryphon is a software project that attempts help you save money when shopping for groceries. It will do so by cataloguing and analyzing grocery store item prices. Thus, you can simply search for an item, and it will show you the historical prices of that item. So, if the price you see in store is consistent with the lower prices recorded on Project Gryphon, you’re likely getting a great deal.

The developer has spent the past three months developing the UWP version of the app, and he is now looking for more alpha testers.

The webpage for the project is here and you can sign up to be an alpha tester here.
