FlightTrack app makes air travel less painful

Published by at

FlightTrack, recently updated to version 1.1, makes air travel less painful by putting more information at your fingertips. The zoom-able live flight tracker maps offer the visual highlight, but, for the regular traveller, the most useful feature is the provision of real time status information (gate numbers, delays and cancellations).

FlightTrack covers 4000 airports (and 1400 airlines) worldwide, although reviews do suggest that the best coverage and most reliable data is found in the US. The app uses a Metro panorama style layout, allowing you to easily pivot between the various information screens.

FlightTrack has enjoyed a great deal of success on the Apple and Android platform and was first bought to Windows Phone in July of this year. The app can be purchased for £3.99 / $4.99 / €4.99, but a free trial is available to give you a taste of the application.
