German and Swiss Lumia users should head over to the Nokia section of Windows Marketplace to get the latest version of Nokia Music, as Mix Radio is now available in those countries. You'll have access to a number of rotating music channels populated with over 15 million tracks. Available right now for the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710, the upcoming releases of the Lumia 900 and Lumia 610 will also include the updated application.

Mix Radio brings you the best features of an Internet Radio station (through themed music radio channels and a varying selection of music), and downloading music to your smartphone (the stations can be downloaded for offline listening when you are out of coverage or just want to save battery life).

As well as the pre-rolled Mix radio channels, you can also create your own mixes by selecting your favourite artists and letting Mix Radio work out your own personalised playlist. There are some licencing tricks going on here - you can't see what's coming up, and you can only skip forward a limited number of tracks each hour, and you can ony have four offline mixes at a time - but Mix Radio is available at no extra cost to Lumia owners.
