Join Kenny Mathers, Director, Programs and Monetisation at Nokia, to discover the success Nokia found at this year's Mobile World Congress. Among the show highlights: 2000 developers visiting the Apps Developer Conference, launch of the Nokia Lumia 720 and Nokia Lumia 520, Asha Developer Competition, relaunch of the Nokia Developer Champions program, Premium Developer Program, Nokia Ad Exchange, 3D printing, and nine awards.

"The most exciting thing I've seen about this event," says Kenny, "has been the enthusiasm for Windows Phone and the optimism developers are showing for that platform, and we are starting to see consumer really, really come to this platform, so I think it's an exciting year ahead."

During the developer conference Nokia showcased a number of apps, built on top of Nokia APIs (mapping, music, and imaging) that are expected to be released in the coming months. These included:

  • Burton and GoPro apps built on top of Nokia imaging enablers.

  • Foursquare, an updated app that will have features exclusive to Lumia, leveraging voice integration and augmented reality technology.

  • Tumblr, an exclusive app for the content and social service.

  • JobLens, an app that aggregates job data from various services and uses augmented reality to "revolutionise work searching".
