Speaking to the press AT&T's SVP of devices Jeff Bradley:
“We are excited to add the Samsung ATIV S Neo with its large, sharp 4.77” HD display and expandable micro SD memory to our best-in-class Windows Phone portfolio. The ATIV S Neo brings together Samsung’s sleek design, AT&T’s blazing fast 4G LTE network and the award-winning Windows Phone 8 operating system. Now, customers can get their favourite features all in a single package.”
The handset can be purchased at a subsidised price of $99 with a two year contract, or it can be picked up on the AT&T Next program, which gives US subscribers a new handset every twelve months, in exchange for a $21/month supplement to the regular monthly contract charges.
Given the US pricing structures for contract phones, the ATIV S Neo's $99 is the same price as the Nokia Lumia 925, which is an interesting choice to make. The Lumia has far more software, but the 2800 mAh battery and microSD card support on the S Neo are very attractive. Which would you go for?
You can pick up the ATIV S Neo on November 8th, and there are more details in the AT&T Press Room.
