GhostCam is a good example of a throwaway (time limited) app. It's not going to set the world on fire, but it is the kind of app that every platform needs to fill out an app store. Microsoft and Nokia are doing a reasonable job of making sure the big name apps are in place, but the commentary around the app is shifting to a discussion around app store breadth (where throwaway apps are a big factor) and the ability of Windows Phone to attract apps from start ups and other resource limited companies (understandably, given the respective installed user base, it is currently almost always iOS or Android first).
GhostCam is one of a number of Halloween apps that are available in the Windows Phone Store. Other seasonally themed titles of interest includeMitclan (monsters attack Mexican land of the dead), Halloween Makeup Tutorials (embrace your inner zombie), and Pumpkin Smash 3 (follow Bones McScaryPants into the haunted Insane Asylum).
And if that's not enough for you Microsoft has created a Halloween themed collection in the Windows Phone Store, listing 29 of the top apps that have some connection to this time of year (from Angry Birds Seasons to Ghost Radar Classic). You can access the collection either on the Windows Phone website, or through the collections section of the Store app on your Windows Phone device.
