Technically, you can start with any amount of money, but if you're looking to be included in the rankings, the default $100,000 is the way forward.
This is going to be a slow burner of a title, tracking the stock markets as they move. Of course if you want to go ahead and work in the futures market, or do lots of high value trades, you can. Alternatively you can imagine you've got your pension fund and are carefully investing in a mix of companies and markets. The Stock Game can accommodate either of these, naturally with no financial risk to yourself. It's just a shame there's no reward either.
The Stock Game is something a little different for the end of the year. This is a nice diversion, a simulation game, and a chance to experience a new world, all from your smartphone.
Some of the main features, from the App Directory listing, are:
- Test different strategies with multiple accounts
- Search stocks worldwide
- Trade with stocks, currencies and commodities, always with the actual quotations (only 15-30 minutes delayed)
- All market opening times are considered!
- High risk trading with short selling
- Currency conversions
- Watch the progress of your portfolio, direct on Live Tiles
- The price agent watches any stocks and informs you when a fixed limit is reached
- Put any stocks, indices, currencies or commodities on Live Tiles to see all changes on home screen, completely with the charts
The Stock Game is available as an ad-supported free download from the Windows Phone Store, with an ad-free version also available for £2.29/$2.99.
