Musaic Box, grab it while it's free?

Published by at

A few weeks back, this music-themed tap-to-find puzzler went free in an offer - and it doesn't seem to have reverted to its commercial price. If classical music, in particular, is your thing and if you enjoy piecing together fragments of melodies, then Musaic Box (no, that's not a typo) is worth grabbing now, at least before Herocraft notices and changes the price back from 'free'(!)

From the Store description:

Musaic Box is an unusual combination of musical puzzle and a detective quest. Its scenario offers you a riddle: to find the old organ master who has vanished. Solving various quests and gathering the clues just like in other classic hidden object games you'll find outlines of musical scores for your music box and reveal exclusive puzzles where you have to recreate masterpieces of classical and modern music out of smaller pieces.

Unlike other puzzles, Musaic requires not just logic but a sense of musicality. Correctly composed melodies will lead you to the mystery's revelation and unlock new game mode. Musaic box – now anyone can be a composer!

Game features:

  • Unusual gameplay rewarded for excellence
  • Exciting music-based gameplay
  • Multiple masterpieces of classical and modern music
  • Stylish graphics

Herocraft has done a good job of the port of this game to Windows Phone - and now available in six languages - though anyone know what that last one is?

Essentially you tap around each scene, finding fragments of songs and then try to piece them together to finish each melody and accompaniment...

There are numerous videos online, to help you solve the puzzles, but I'll get you started with this one, which will give you a good idea - and it shows (and plays) the puzzles themselves:

Anyway, you can find this in the Windows Phone Store here.
