Sony's new Xperia 1 II ('mark two') has
- 'sub-6' 5G
- 6.5" OLED display at 4K resolution (3840 x 1644 pixels) and HDR
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset with 8GB of RAM
- 256 GB of storage
- a 4000 mAh battery
- USB-PD fast charging
- NFC, Bluetooth 5.1
- Qi wireless charging
- a 3.5mm audio jack
- Zeiss optics, with triple 12MP rear cameras — standard (f/1.7), wide and telephoto, Auto-focus is 'up to 60 times per second)
- IP68 waterproofing
Which is quite a spec loadout, though do note the launch price is (wait for it) an INSANE £1100 in the UK, inc VAT.
Quite aside from the stupidly confusing "1 II" name, the price will effectively prevent any SIM-free sales, leaving just a few premium contracts to take up the slack. This may be you, in which case you'll do well, but the price needs to be in the £700 range for this to really have a chance.
